One of the things I love most about photographing families in Cascais is the sense of ease. Children can move freely, parents can relax, and there’s no pressure to perform. Whether we’re near the ocean or tucked into a quiet corner of town, sessions tend to feel more like time spent together than a formal photoshoot.
The light here is gentle, especially in the early morning and late afternoon, and the variety of scenery means no two sessions feel the same. I’m always guided by what feels natural for each family — sometimes that means barefoot on the sand, sometimes it’s a slow walk with plenty of pauses or playdate in the comfort of your own home.
